China: Steel inventory rises by 3% for second week in a row

China’s steel inventory, including sheets and construction steel, stood at 8.85 mn t, an increase of 3% against 8.61 mn t a week ago, as per Lange Steel.

• The stock, comprising HRC, CRC and plates, stood largely stable at 4.35 mn t on the week.
• Construction steel (including rebar and wire rod) stocks rose by 5% to 4.50 mn t today compared to 4.28 mn t last week.
