The steel inventory at China’s main iron and steel enterprises in late Apr’22 was assessed at 18.08 mnt, a month-on-month decrease of 1.57 mnt, or 8.03%, as per China Iron & Steel Association (CISA) data. Compared with the beginning of the year, inventory increased 6.79 mnt, or 60.12%, and in comparison with the year-ago period inventory increased by 34.85%.
