The steel imports in China fall by 11% m-o-m in Apr ’21 to reach 1.17 mn t from 1.32 mn t in Mar ’21. The fall was amid reasonable domestic prices against imported prices during Feb-Mar ’21, which impacted the Apr ’21 shipments. With non-ASEAN billets also having 0% import duty after the recent revision in tariffs by the Chinese govt, there could be a competitive market seen along with those of ASEAN origin billets
