China: Steel billets prices stable, rebars futures edge down d-o-d

Steel billets prices in China’s Tangshan remained stable at RMB 3,810/t ($546/t), inclusive of 13% VAT on 16 Dec’22. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE rebars futures contract for May’23 delivery closed today at RMB 4,049/t ($581/t), a decrease of RMB 35/t ($5/t) d-o-d.
