Steel billets prices in China’s Tangshan increased by RMB 20/t ($3/t) on 19 Apr’22 despite a significant fall in rebar futures. Prices stood at RMB 4,810/t ($753/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE re-bar futures contract for Oct’22 delivery closed today at RMB 5,011/t ($784/t), witnessing a fall of RMB 52/t ($8/t), d-o-d.
