China: Steel billets prices remain stable, rebars futures edge down d-o-d

Steel billets prices in China’s Tangshan remained stable at RMB 3,900/t ($562/t), inclusive of 13% VAT on 28 Feb’23. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE rebars futures contract for May’23 delivery closed today at RMB 4,174/t ($602/t), a decrease of RMB 17/t ($2/t) d-o-d.
