China: Steel billets prices fall RMB 20/t ($3/t) d-o-d

  • Domestic billets prices in China’s Tangshan decreased d-o-d by RMB 20/t ($3/t) to RMB 3,730/t ($534/t), inclusive of 13% VAT on 22 Dec’22.
  • A sharp decline in futures has pulled down billets prices, SteelMint noted.
  • China’s SHFE rebars futures contract for May’23 delivery closed today at RMB 3,961/t ($567/t), a fall of RMB 73/t ($10/t) d-o-d.
