Steel billets prices in China’s Tangshan decreased by RMB 30/t ($4/t) on 2 Sept’22 to RMB 3,660/t ($530/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE rebar futures contract for Jan’23 delivery closed today at RMB 3,637/t ($526/t), a marginal drop of just RMB 5/t ($1/t), d-o-d.
