Steel billets prices in China’s Tangshan increased by RMB 20/t ($3/t) on 20 Apr’22 following a sharp rise in rebar futures. Prices stood at RMB 4,830/t ($753/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE re-bar futures contract for Oct’22 delivery closed today at RMB 5,106/t ($796/t), witnessing a sharp rise of RMB 95/t ($15/t), d-o-d.
