China: Steel billets prices edge up RMB 30/t ($4/t) d-o-d

Domestic billets prices in China’s Tangshan rose by RMB 30/t ($4/t) d-o-d to RMB 3,970/t ($572/t), inclusive of 13% VAT, on 7 Mar’23.
A recovery in rebars futures as well as finished steel prices has supported billets prices, SteelMint notes.
China’s SHFE rebars futures contract for May’23 delivery closed today at RMB 4,248/t ($612/t), an increase of RMB 38/t ($5/t) d-o-d.
