China: Steel billets prices edge down by RMB 30/t ($4/t)

Domestic billets prices in China’s Tangshan fell by RMB 30/t ($4/t) to RMB 3,920/t ($569/t), inclusive of 13% VAT on 22 Mar’23.
Declining rebar futures and finished steel prices weighed on billets prices, SteelMint noted.
However, China’s SHFE rebar futures contract for May’23 delivery closed today at RMB 4,153/t ($603/t), largely stable d-o-d.
