Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan rose further by RMB 20/t ($3/t) on 23 Sep’22 due to improvement in rebar futures and finished steel prices in the domestic market. Prices stood at RMB 3,650/t ($513/t), including 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE rebar futures contract for Jan’23 delivery closed today at RMB 3,766/t ($529/t), largely stable d-o-d.
