Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan witnessed an increase of RMB 20/t ($3/t) to RMB 3,710/t ($531/t), inclusive of 13% VAT on 15 Sep’22 despite a marginal drop in rebar futures. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE rebar futures contract for Jan’23 delivery closed today at RMB 3,722/t ($533/t), a decrease of RMB 19/t ($3/t), d-o-d.
