Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan remained stable at RMB 4,360/t ($686/t), inclusive of 13% VAT on 18 Jan’22. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s rebar futures contract for May’22 delivery on the Shanghai Futures Exchange (SHFE) closed today at RMB 4,599/t ($724/t), witnessing a d-o-d recovery of RMB 46/t ($7/t) against the closing on 17 Jan.
