Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan increased by RMB 20/t ($3/t) on 26 Apr’22 following a rebound in rebar futures. Prices stood at RMB 4,720/t ($722/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE rebar futures contract for Oct’22 delivery was closed today at RMB 4,829/t ($738/t), witnessing a d-o-d recovery of RMB 51/t ($8/t).
