Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan rose by RMB 40/t ($6/t) on 16 Mar. Prices stood at RMB 4,680/t ($737/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE re-bar futures contract for May delivery closed today at RMB 4,904/t ($772/t), witnessing a sharp rise of RMB 151/t ($24/t) d-o-d.
