China: Steel billet prices rise by RMB 30/t ($4/t) d-o-d

Billet prices in Tangshan rose by RMB 30/t ($4/t) d-o-d to RMB 2,910/t ($412/t) on 19 Sep’24. Prices include 13% VAT.
Recovery in finished steel prices, rebar futures along with improvement in demand after holidays has supported billet prices.
Meanwhile, SHFE rebar futures (Jan’25 delivery) increased by RMB 56/t ($8/t) to RMB 3,206/t ($454/t) d-o-d on 19 Sep.
