China: Steel billet prices rise by RMB 30/t ($4/t) d-o-d

Billet prices in Tangshan recovered by RMB 30/t ($4/t) to RMB 2,790/t ($392/t) d-o-d on 10 Sep’24. Notably, prices include 13% VAT.
A recovery in finished steel prices and demand, coupled with a decrease in inventory levels, has led to an uplift in billet prices.
Meanwhile, SHFE rebar futures (Jan’25 delivery) remained largely stable d-o-d at RMB 3,080/t ($433/t) today.
