China: Steel billet prices rise by RMB 30/t ($4/t)

Steel billet prices in Tangshan, China, rose by RMB 30/t ($4/t) to RMB 2,930/t ($408/t), including 13% VAT, on 16 Jun’25 against 13 Jun’25.
An increase in finished steel prices and rebar futures supported billet tags. However, demand still remains weak.
SHFE rebar futures (Oct’25) edged up by RMB 21/t ($2/t) to RMB 2,990/t ($416/t) on 16 Jun’25 against 13 Jun’25.
