China: Steel billet prices remain stable d-o-d amid market uncertainty

Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan remained stable at RMB 3,100/t ($428/t) on 28 Nov’24. Prices include 13% VAT.
Stability in rebar futures have supported the billet prices. However, volatility in finished steel market has raised concerns.
Meanwhile, SHFE rebar futures (Jan’25 delivery) remained largely stable at RMB 3,312/t ($457/t) on 28 Nov’24.
