China: Steel billet prices remain stable d-o-d

Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan held steady d-o-d at RMB 3,120/t ($428/t) on 3 Dec’24. Prices include 13% VAT.
The rise in raw material costs, higher finished steel prices, strengthening rebar futures, and improved exchange rates collectively supported billet price.
Meanwhile, SHFE rebar futures (Jan’25 delivery) increased d-o-d by RMB 19/t ($3/t) to RMB 3,352/t ($460/t) on 3 Dec’24.
