China: Steel billet prices remain stable amid supportive rebar futures

Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan remained stable at RMB 3,070/t ($421/t) on 26 Dec’24 against 24 Dec. Prices include 13% VAT.
An increase in finished steel prices and favourable rebar futures kept billet tags supported.
Meanwhile, SHFE rebar futures (May’25 delivery) were up marginally by RMB 5/t ($1/t) to RMB 3,305/t ($453/t) on 26 Dec against 24 Dec.
