Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan rose by RMB 70/t ($10/t) on 21 June 2022 following a significant recovery in rebar futures. Prices stood at RMB 3,900/t ($582/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE re-bar futures contract for Oct’22 delivery closed today at RMB 4,224/t ($630/t), witnessing a d-o-d recovery of RMB 75/t ($11/t).
