Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan witnessed an increase of RMB 20/t ($3/t) on 5 Sept’22 to RMB 3,680/t ($531/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE rebar futures contract for Jan’23 delivery closed today at RMB 3,691/t ($532/t), a rise of RMB 54/t ($8/t) as against the closing on 2 Sept.
