Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan continued their downward trend amid the volatility in rebar futures. Prices stood at RMB 3,610/t ($515/t) on 20 Sep’22, a d-o-d fall of RMB 30/t ($4/t). According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE rebar futures contract for Jan’23 delivery closed today at RMB 3,659/t ($522/t), a decrease of RMB 37/t ($5/t), d-o-d.
