Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan fell by RMB 80/t ($12/t) on 16 May’22. Prices stood at RMB 4,580/t ($675/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE re-bar futures contract for Oct’22 delivery closed today at RMB 4,679/t ($689/t), witnessing a slight increase of RMB 9/t ($1/t) against the closing on 13 May.
