China: Steel billet prices edge up by RMB 40/t ($6/t) d-o-d

Steel billet tags in China’s Tangshan increased by RMB 40/t ($6/t) d-o-d to RMB 2,990/t ($415/t), including 13% VAT, on 14 May’25.
An increase in rebar futures, rising finished steel prices and supporting mill margins, pushed up the billet tags.
SHFE rebar futures (Oct’25) climbed up by RMB 48/t ($7/t) to RMB 3,127/t ($434/t) on 14 May’25.
