China: Steel billet prices edge down by RMB 30/t ($4/t)

Domestic billet prices in China’s Tangshan fell by RMB 30/t ($4/t) to RMB 3,900/t ($561/t), inclusive of 13% VAT on 27 Feb’23.
Declining futures weighed on billet prices, SteelMint notes.
China’s SHFE rebar futures contract for May’23 delivery closed today at RMB 4,191/t ($603/t), a decrease of RMB 33/t ($5/t) as against the closing on 24 Feb.
