Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan dipped by RMB 10/t ($1/t) d-o-d to RMB 2,940/t ($401/t) on 9 Jan’25. Prices include 13% VAT.
Volatile finished steel prices and rebar futures, low trades, and weak demand weighed on billet prices.
Meanwhile, SHFE rebar futures (May’25 delivery) decreased by RMB 6/t ($1/t) d-o-d to RMB 3,205/t ($437/t) today.
