Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan decreased by RMB 20/t ($3/t) on 24 June tracking a fall in rebar futures. Prices stood at RMB 3,900/t ($582/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE re-bar futures contract for Oct’22 delivery closed today at RMB 4,189/t ($625/t), witnessing a fall of RMB 46/t ($7/t).
