Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan fell by RMB 30/t ($4/t) d-o-d to RMB 3,040/t ($417/t) on 19 Dec’24. Prices include 13% VAT.
Volatility in raw material prices, finished steel prices and rebar futures amid weak demand have weighed on billet prices.
Meanwhile, SHFE rebar futures (May’25 delivery) decreased d-o-d by RMB 25/t ($3/t) to RMB 3,287/t ($450/t) on 19 Dec.
