Steel billet prices in China’s Tangshan witnessed a fall of RMB 20/t ($3/t) on 19 Sep’22 to RMB 3,640/t ($519/t), inclusive of 13% VAT. According to data maintained with SteelMint, China’s SHFE re-bar futures contract for Jan’23 delivery closed today at RMB 3,696/t ($527/t), a marginal decrease of RMB 10/t ($1/t) as against the closing on 16 September.
