Iron ore (Fe 62%) fines spot prices increased d-o-d by $1/t to $132.80/t CFR China on 1 Feb’24 supported by demand of medium grade fines cargo for March delivery. Few mills were reported to be conducting maintenance during the holiday season following poor steel margins. Some market players moved to holidays earlier this year after logistic hurdles due to heavy snowfall in northern China.
