China: Sichuan has sufficient coal supplies to fulfill demand till late Apr’23

China’s southwestern manufacturing hub, Sichuan province’s coal supplies with major thermal power enterprises has reached 5.98 mnt as of 29 Nov. This has exceeded the target of 5.80 mnt, and will fulfill their domestic demand till Apr’23. The province’s hydropower generation is anticipated to fall during Dec-Apr’23. However, the overall power generation is expected to increase by 12% y-o-y.
