- China’s leading steelmaker – Shagang Steel has increased its scrap purchase price by RMB 270/t($42), for all grades, effective from today.
- The company would now pay for HMS (6-10 mm) at RMB 4,190/t ($652), inclusive of 13% VAT, delivered to headquarters.
- In order to lead more scrap deliveries and hike in imported scrap offers, the steelmaker lifted the scrap purchase price.
