China’s Shagang Steel has revised long steel prices for early-Aug’21 sales effective from 1 Aug. Rebar prices have been increased by RMB 150/t, while prices of wire rod and coiled rebar have been raised by RMB 50/t. Prices are on ex-mill basis, including taxes.
- Rebar (16-25mm): RMB 5,700/t ($882)
- Wire rod (6.5mm): RMB 5,860/t ($907)
- Coiled rebar (8-10mm): RMB 5,850/t ($905)
The company has hiked prices despite growing concerns related to rising Covid-19 cases in the Jiangsu region.
