China sees over 16% y-o-y decline in coal imports in Apr’25

As reported by the General Administration of Customs of the People’s Republic of China, coal and lignite imports in Apr’25 totalled 37.825 mnt, reflecting a 16.4% drop compared to Apr’24. Cumulatively, in Jan-Apr’25 imports amounted to 152.671 mnt, down 5.3% y-o-y.
