In a bid to ensure sufficient coal supply in China, the National Development and Reform Commission (NDRC) has announced the release of over 10 mn t of coal from state reserves. This will be the fifth such release which is expected to exceed the 5 mn t mark, as majority of the coal supplies are set to arrive from reserve hubs and key ports from across the nation.
