China: Met coke output rises 2.5% on year in Jan-Aug’21

China’s metallurgical (met) coke output was 39.67 million tonnes (mn t) in Aug’21, down 5.0% y-o-y, according to data from the country’s National Bureau of Statistics. However, in the Jan-Aug’21 period, cumulative output of met coke was 315.58 mn t, marking a yearly increase of 2.5%.
