China: Manganese Professional Committee urges its members to limit production

Ferroalloy Industry Association’s Manganese Professional Committee held a video conference on 12 May for 40 manganese-based member units (total capacity of 1.2 mnt monthly). The conference was held to take active action by strictly enforcing the production limit to 50% to mitigate the loss of sales. Weak demand resulted in lower sales for manganese alloys amid the restrictions on large-scale production and maintenance of steel mills in China.
