China: Manganese ore imports rise 14%, m-o-m, in Mar’22

China imported around 2.20 mnt of manganese ore in Mar’22, up 14% against 1.9 mnt in Feb, as per SteelMint data. Low inventory boosted Chinese buying interest during the month, mainly from South Africa (up 10% m-o-m) and Australia (up 89% m-o-m). However, imports dropped 17% to 6.82 mnt y-o-y in Q1CY22 from 8.21 mnt in Q1CY’21.
