China: Late-Oct’21 daily steel output falls nearly 20%, y-o-y

According to China Iron and Steel Association (CISA) data, the average daily crude steel output of key enterprises was 1.73 mn t in late-Oct’21, a decrease of 139,400 tons or 7.43% from the previous month. Average daily steel production in late-Oct decreased by 19.53%, y-o-y. CISA executives have informed that crude steel output in 2021 is expected to be around 1.04 billion tonnes.
