China: Iron ore spot prices rise further by $2/t d-o-d

Iron ore fines (Fe 62%) spot prices surged further by $1.9/t d-o-d to $104.85/dmt CFR China on 22 Jul’25, as optimism persisted regarding the future market outlook. As per reports, physical trades were slower than the thriving paper market, leading to lower margins for traders. Meanwhile, China’s portside iron ore prices rose significantly, along with coking coal and coke tags.
