China: Iron ore spot prices rise by $2/t d-o-d amid weather-related disruptions in Australia

Iron ore fines (Fe 62%) spot prices increased by $2.05/t to $108.60/t CFR China on 12 Feb’25 following weather-related disruptions in Western Australia. Seaborne cargoes with favourable laycan dates may see price premiums, though the upward trend lacks solid support. Prices at Chinese ports have risen especially in the northern and eastern regions, as the market prepares to restock cargoes from ports.
