China: Iron ore spot prices rise amid positive PMI results

Iron ore spot prices in China increased by $2.7/t d-o-d to $126.8/t CFR China on 1 Mar’23 on the latest Purchasing Managers’ Index (PMI) data. PMI results have exceeded all predictions. Large number of seaborne cargoes are still circulating in the secondary market after March arrivals. As a result, stakeholders have turned cautious. Seaborne buying picked up slightly amid narrower import losses w-o-w.
