China: Iron ore spot prices rise $2/t d-o-d amid improved trading activity

Iron ore fines (Fe 62%) spot prices rose $2.35/t d-o-d to $103.55/t CFR China on 28 Oct’24 amid improved trading activity despite ongoing uncertainties. Reportedly, some market participants, acting out of caution, opted for the more cost-effective approach by using higher-grade fines, amid the lack of definitive information about sintering cuts from last week’s environmental advisories.
