China: Iron ore spot prices rangebound as steel demand recovers

The spot price of iron ore in China remained stable on 1 Jun’22 as market participants weighed Chinese steel demand recovery against crude steel output cuts. Benchmark Fe 62% fines prices inched up by $0.05/t to $136.55/t CFR China. Sources expected steel demand to continue to recover with easing COVID-related restrictions and increasing government stimulus measures in China.
