China: Iron ore spot prices inch up by $2/dmt d-o-d

Iron ore fines (Fe 62%) spot prices increased by $1.5/dmt d-o-d to $105.1/dmt CFR China on 4 Sep’25. Iron ore prices rose on strong demand and active trading. Mills increased restocking, adding momentum to the market. Portside prices strengthened on better sentiment, with Tangshan expected to see more buying. Medium-grade fines led deals as mills avoided costly high-grade ores amid tight margins.
