China: Iron ore spot prices improve as demand rises

The spot price of iron ore in China inched up on 19 May’22 on improved demand. Benchmark Fe 62% fines prices increased by $2.8/t to $129.40/t CFR China. However, as COVID-19 cases keep spreading, market sources are concerned that lockdowns and logistical disruptions would become recurring themes as China sticks to its zero-COVID policy.
