Iron ore (Fe 62%) fines spot prices fell by $2.8/t d-o-d to $104.35/t CFR China on 14 Mar’24 amid weak fundamentals and poor steel demand along with production cuts in China. Slow recovery of end-user demand and growing inventories have kept the Chinese steel market subdued. Meanwhile, a loss of confidence in the market has resulted in a fall in ore trading.
